Tifway 419
You are here: Home > Grasses > Tifway 419
Tifway Bermuda has a medium fine texture. Tifway has excellent weed and
disease resistance, spreads faster than 328 Tifgreen and is superior to 328
Tifgreen and Tiflawn for fairways, tees, athletic fields and similar uses.
When cut 1-1/2" to 2", 419 Tifway provides an excellent impact absorbing
cushion on playing fields.
Fine bladed semi-dwarf bermuda. It is very similar to Tifgreen except for
its greater stiffness of leaf blades and darker green color. Originally
developed for golf course fairways and tee boxes. Excellent sports field
grass because of it's ability to recover quickly from wear. Must be grown
in full sun. May also be used in home lawns. May be mowed either with a
rotary or reel type mower. Recommended for golf course tees and fairways,
home lawns, athletic fields and tennis courts.
Requires 2 or 3 fertilizer applications per year. Apply 1" of water every 3
weeks during fall, winter and spring. This increases to a maximum of 1" of
water every seven days during the extreme heat of summer.
Available at all of our farm locations.
